I think the target audience for this product is age 30+ ABC1/2 people. Specifically I think men because they might aspire to be like Clooney is portrayed in these adverts though there is a secondary audience of women because he may be seen as eye candy. He is usually dressed well and shown to be wealthy,like when he he is saying what he'd trade instead in the last advert, so this has a more wealthy audience who can afford something premium.

I think a good replacement for George Clooney would be almost anyone of a similar status. It'd have to be a very famous actor,but also how they're portrayed matters a lot. They'd have to be shown as wealthy and suave to appeal to the same audience. However I think that there is no need to replace Clooney as he does this very well already.

An alternative approach to advertising Nespresso may be more toward people who drink coffee for energy. The adverts show the product as something premium and worth almost anything but they don't focus on the energy that coffee gives. It could be targeted more towards a similar or slightly younger age group with less money with that aim. By showing how much energy it gives and how you could do anything, it could be effective to a different audience
