Thoughts on the feather tool
The feather option is a useful tool for cutting out sections of an image and making it look a little more interesting straight after. It blurs out from the edges you selected. I decided to use some effects and filters with the tool because I thought on it's own it looked boring. I used the drop shadow and lowered the opacity to fit with the blurred edges. I also tried to arrange them interestingly, again I thought arranging them regularly was boring so I rotated and overlapped the layers. The feather tool is useful but not on it's own. However it does work very well in combination with others.
