(Review) JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 4:Diamond is Unbreakable

Overview/Synopsis
"Diamond is Unbreakable" is the fourth part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and makes up the fourth season of the show. This part follows Josuke Higashikata, son of Joseph Joestar from Part 2 of the series, in a fictional town in Japan called Morioh.

Throughout the part, Josuke encounters many Stand users, people with supernatural abilities, that threaten the peace of Morioh. Eventually Josuke and his friends learn about a serial killer that has been undiscovered in the town for years, and try to bring him to justice.

Characters
The part has many side characters but focuses mostly on 7 characters: Josuke Higashikata who is the protagonist,Okuyasu Nijimura who is an antagonist turned friend,Koichi Hirose,Rohan Kishibe, the returning protagonist of Part 3 Jotaro Kujo, the antagonist Yoshikage Kira, and Hayato Kawajiri. The many side characters make Morioh feel very alive, which only makes the stakes higher once Kira is introduced and threatens it. Josuke and Okuyasu have a very fun dynamic so I always found them entertaining to watch so they stick out as my favourite characters. The villain Kira is also a great character. His motivations aren't complex at all but you really get a sense of who he is and how he works, which serves to make him more terrifying and intimidating. He's personally one of my favourite villains from any media.

Story
The story for Diamond is Unbreakable is good but it takes a while to get to the most important part of it, which is trying to find the murderer Yoshikage Kira. There's no main goal for the first parts of the series which can make it feel a little hard to get invested in for some people. For me personally I still enjoyed these parts as it fleshes out the town of Morioh and its people and makes me attached to it.When Kira shows up and majorly threatens the peace he seems so much more threatening. Part 4 continues using Stands which were invented for part 3, and they are much more interesting here as the concept is expanded on. Part 3's were mostly simple such as controlling fire or being a swordfighter, however Part 4 has stands that evolve with the growth of a character, can open people like a book and make them act in certain ways by writing, or can turn any object into a bomb.

Conclusion
Diamond is Unbreakable is one of my favourite parts of any show. It has really fun and interesting characters that make the journey great, the town of Morioh feels real with how its fleshed out, the action sequences are interesting to see fold out, has one of the best villains I can think of in any media, and has a very unique sense of style.
